Rosa’s impact story

Today I’d like to share Rosa’s story—an inspiring example of what one poor little girl can do when she's given the chance to have an education. 

Rosa lost her father as a child, and despite her family's financial struggles, she earned a scholarship through Ruk’ux. She trained as a teacher in high school, completed her community service in a clinic, and was hired by the clinic after graduation.

Ruk'ux supported her through a Nursing Certificate and she then self-financed a bachelor's degree in Social Work. 

Now 25, Rosa specializes in women’s hygiene, family planning, and support for survivors of sexual violence. She not only counsels women in the clinic but also goes door-to-door to reach those in need, helping them access health services and safety.

Rosa proves the power of perseverance and opportunity.

And imagine--- she’s only just getting started!
