Location: Arrive in Guatemala City airport then travel to Santiago Atitlán Sololá. Overnight in Antigua in your way back to the airport

Length: 8 days / 7 nights


Immersion Highlights

You’ll be greeted at the airport by the Natik Esperanza team, followed by travel to Antigua, hotel check-in, and an introduction to Guatemala, the region, and the flow of the week.

Enjoy time in historic Antigua through shared meals and walking explorations.

Engage with inspiring grassroots partners, local leaders, farmers, and families through visits centered on learning, listening, and relationship-building.

Visit agricultural areas and community-led projects to learn about coffee cultivation, corn harvest traditions, agroecology, soil care, and seasonal cycles, guided by local producers in the area of lake Atitlan.

Explore local beekeeping and honey production initiatives, learning about pollination, biodiversity, and the role of bees in food security and community livelihoods.

Discover local markets and food spaces with guided context, connecting agricultural production to cuisine, trade, and cultural traditions.

Participate in a guided Mayan ceremony, offering insight into ancestral knowledge, time, land stewardship, and personal energy.

Take part in hands-on activities such as planting, harvesting, artisanal food production, or environmental learning sessions, highlighting local skills and traditional knowledge.

Time for reflection, rest, and personal exploration throughout the journey.
